BSC Procurement Mission
Bechtel SAIC Company, LLC’s procurement mission is to conduct business
in a safe, compliant and cost effective manner – the right material/services,
at the right time, and at the lowest price.
BSC’s operating principles for procurement actions
include competition as the preferred method of subcontracting, partnering
with internal and external customers and suppliers and building quality
relationships, of the highest ethics and standards in conducting business,
and providing maximum practicable opportunities for small, small disadvantaged,
small woman-owned, HUBZones, and other socioeconomic business concerns.
A wide variety of products and services are purchased by BSC to accomplish
the purposes of its prime contract with DOE and include:

- Environmental and waste management services
- Professional and administrative services

Authority to commit BSC for purchases and subcontracts is vested solely
in the Procurement staff. Suppliers/Subcontractors should act only on
contractual commitments made by authorized Procurement personnel.
